Construction Notice: Utility Undergrounding on Almont Dr + La Peer Dr

WORK ACTIVITIES & SCHEDULE

Construction activities to install utilities underground on N Almont Dr will continue through September 2024. Work requires parking restrictions and a single lane closure in order to provide access to the work zone, maintain safety, and guide vehicles.

Please inform your customers to alert crew for access.

 

CONSTRUCTION DATE & TIME

  • July – Sept. 2024
  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00AM – 5:00PM

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Utility undergrounding locations will vary within the construction zone and will be performed in segments.
  • Construction crew and equipment on site.
  • Moderate noise from machinery.

TRAFFIC FLOW

  • Traffic will continue to flow north and south on N Almont Dr. with one lane in each direction.
  • Left and right turns onto/from Santa Monica Blvd. will be permitted. Please obey traffic signs.

TRAFFIC CONES

  • Cones will be placed around the work zone to identify the construction area, maintain safety, and guide vehicles.
  • Local and customer vehicles will be permitted by flagger to enter the construction zone for driveway and private property parking access unless notified in advance. Restrictions on city meters must still be obeyed.

PARKING

  • Parking shall be temporarily restricted at some city parking meters to provide access to the work zone.
  • Specific date and time of parking restrictions will be posted on each individual meter.

DRIVEWAYS

  • Driveways inside the construction zone will be granted access by crew as necessary.
  • Crew will be onsite to guide vehicles into and out of roadway and driveways in the construction zone.
  • Driveways inside the traffic control (cone) zone will remain accessible. 646
